The Secret’s Out…

I’ve been absent from Braver Than Before for what seems like an eternity to me. I feel like it’s time to explain where I’ve been and catch my fellow bloggers up on what’s been going on. So here. Have a look at this…

announcement1

I’m pregnant! I am currently 12 weeks along and figuring this whole pregnancy thing out as I go. Incidentally, the reason I blogged so infrequently in Africa is because my morning sickness was so bad there, that every time I looked at my computer screen it triggered unimaginable nausea! Things have certainly improved some since being back in Canada, but I simply didn’t feel I could share honestly about my life and experiences until we had publicly announced the pregnancy. It was just too hard to write about any other topics when all I could think about was how lousy I was feeling!

I would love to say that pregnancy has been wonderful and easy so far, but I’m afraid that just wouldn’t be true. In fact, so far, I’ve decided that I’m really just not all that good at being pregnant! But everyone keeps telling me that it will get better, and so I am trying to stay hopeful.

I’m sure I’ll have plenty to say about all of this in the upcoming days and weeks, but for tonight I just decided that it was time to finally break the silence. I can’t promise that I’m going to be ready to come back to daily blogging, but I know I need to get back into some kind of a groove. Emotions have been raging lately, and even though I’ve kind of been avoiding this blog, I know I need the outlet. It’s good for me.

But for now, I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the amazing readers who have continued to stop by, leave comments, and follow this page, despite my inconsistency as of late! I hope to be able to provide you with a lot more reading very soon!

I was definately missing You! Every story you hear will be similar and different to your own. Everyone experiences symptoms and scenarios differently and individually. Both of mine were totally different. Take each day the way it is and focus on the future and what it holds for you and Ryan as parents. Congratulations!!

Congratulations oh wow. You are braver than before and trust that mantra to help you out during this exciting and yet daunting journey. And to make you laugh, I wish men could get pregnant even just once that way we could deal with each other’s pregnancy moods and blues you know…. Yes I misses you

Wow, this is the start of a whole new chapter in your life! I do find it amusing that this chapter starts out with loads of nausea (for nearly everyone). Maybe it’s so that one can say, “it only gets better for here?” A child is a lifetime commitment which exemplifies that you truly are “braver than before” or rather just “brave”.

If you are unable to stand looking at the screen for awhile, you can be assure I’ll still be here. I look forward to hearing about your journey’s ups and downs. Hang in there!
