Happy Birthday, Avra

Dear Avra, I can’t believe that today you are one year old! Where has the time gone? Tears are welling up in my eyes as I write these words and reflect on all that we have shared this year. So many wonderful memories—moments that I hope I will never forget.

“Cause every night I lie in bed The brightest colors fill my head A million dreams are keeping me awake I think of what the world could be A vision of the one I see A million dreams is all it's gonna take A million dreams for the world we're gonna make” ⠀⠀ Such a great song lyric, and so representative of the experience I have lived for the past 8.5 years in my role as Director of Children and Family Ministries at @fbclloyd. ⠀⠀ So many nights I have lain awake dreaming in bright colors of all the things that could be accomplished through FBC KIDS—because I envisioned and believed in the world we would make if we could influence the next generation to live an authentic faith! ⠀⠀ It is so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that one week from today will be my final day in this role. ⠀⠀ This has been my world for nearly a decade... a world where it makes perfect sense to have your photo taken while buried under a pile of paper chains 🤣 ⠀⠀ But not just that. Certainly it has been a world of bright colors and vivid imaginings. But it has also been a world of worthy dreams, visions from God, and many strategic steps taken towards them. ⠀⠀ This world has meant so much to me. And I wanted to say a proper goodbye. So every day for the next week, I’m going to be posting a photo that, in some way, represents my journey at FBC KIDS! ⠀⠀ And if you’re wondering what all these paper chains represent to me... you’ll just have to stay tuned in to find out! More details to come...
